ALFRED HITCHCOCK DAY

13th of March

It's neither the date of his birth nor his death but Mr. Hitchcock's favourite number and not a lot of us are surprise here, I can say.

It is only fair to have such a day in a calendar year to celebrate one of the best directors, UK's certainly the best so far. Produces fifty and a bit movies in six decades. Starting in his native London, only to move to Hollywood in 1939, where he went on to direct many of the classics of the 20th century.

Since this holiday is almost a month away, your book club can choose Psycho to discus or you can spend a day in your PJ's and have a Hitchcock movie marathon or go to the movies and watch a movie about Hitchcock baring his name, staring Anthony Hopkins.

Get scared, appreciate the art and the transition from silent movies to talkies and the ones we know now.

Happy Hitchcock Day!!!
