OLD STUFF DAY

2nd of March

How many times did you proclaim or heard your mates say 'same old, same old', or 'same shi*, different day'? Well, that is a no no today.

I know day by day, it seems like nothing changes but when we look back everything is different. Today is when you do that something different. Today is when you give your bucket-list another read, close your eyes and cross one thing. And then do it!

It is the day to reflect back on your life. See what the hell is going on and how can you have more fun and be surrounded with more beauty. Also, you can walk around the house with a black rubbish bag and slowly collect in there all that is useless and not sentimental and/or ugly. Now go up to your room and do the same with your wardrobe. Throw, don't throw, donate, things that you no longer need or like. Once you are clutter free, you'd be more organized and finally there will be space for new, awesome things to come. In order to let things happen to us, to let serendipity happen to us, we must leave space for it. Invite your friends over and have a little party, like Carrie did when she was moving in with Mr Big.

Reflect on the people who surround you. Is there someone that drains your energy, that doesn't call you as much as you call them, someone who is negative? Remove yourself from those Dementors. I am not saying you should 'break up', or completely ignore them just distance yourself, or if is someone you can talk to, let them know of your feelings, if they refuse to acknowledge or change there is nothing else you can do.

Take your car to scrape yard if she is not good to you any longer and ask for as much money as the bicycle costs. We are known collectors of this universe and that is swell, we also form emotional bonds with material things, yet there comes a time when we need to put our foot down and that is well for our health.

I am not suggesting for you to throw away everything, you must keep something. I am suggesting that today is a great opportunity to make some space in your life to allow better things to come along. I am suggesting a clean and fresh start. A Renaissance if you will.

Encourage others to do the same, to do something different, to make this day be a day when you and them did something for the first time.

Love your things that surround you, choose them well, use them.

Happy Old Stuff Day!!!
